The Fisherman chest
1940+
This chest was found in an attic of an old barn in Salmon River, New Brunswick. It contained fishing bait, a worm box, and an old piece of newspaper with Dick Tracy featured in it.
According to legend, this chest was used for fishing by a boy who managed to catch a salmon from the shore of the Bay of Fundy in the 1940s, with only a hook and a worm.
When he cut up the fish, he found the three baits he would use later — and since then, each of his catches has been successful.
