The legendary chests of Jar of Good Rum & the Captain Jack Pom

Jarrod Goodrum is a native of Quebec now living in New Brunswick. He has spent much of his free time searching for treasures hidden under many layers of life. Some less old than others, but all feeding his imagination just the same — most of the chests he finds are a century old or more, unattractive and left abandoned. Jarrod has a gift for giving them back their brilliance and life, adorning them with stars and engravings.

All the wooden pieces he carves or polishes back to life turn up all over North America: more than a thousand chests, paddles and crooked knives, not to mention the checker sets he designed or gave a reason to live again. All are signed, save for a few rare exceptions. A passionate antique collector, he offers his latest chest collection on the market… one chest at a time, as he says.

The legends behind the chests are written by his great friend, Captain Jack Pom.

The J.G mark, Jar of Good Rum's engraved signature

Look for the engraved «J.G» mark on every piece: it's Jarrod's signature, the guarantee that it's truly a Jar of Good Rum chest — or work of art.
